This year we have maintained regular committee meetings. Minutes have been recorded and actions noted.
The Public Liability Insurance is up to date with the FAS (Federation of Astronomy Societies) this covers us for members at the observatory and public outreach events. It is not possible to insure contents at the observatory.
Events
Our members evenings at GFO (Green Farm Observatory) on Friday evenings have more to offer than ever before. Sadly the weather has been against us this year which has resulted in a drop in numbers attending.
Binham Village Hall-Every two months we have had meetings open to members and public. There have been some great talks followed by viewing the night sky if clear. We have covered our costs on most evenings but overall the footfall has been disappointing, possibly the poor weather has put people off going out. Hopefully next year will fair better.
Outreach Events-
Due to the unpredictability of the weather this year we have not organised events on the local Dark Sky Sites. Instead concentrating on the Binham events.
The Dark sky Festival started in September, we were not included at the start this year. We now have an event arranged at Kelling Heath next February.
